I first attended a Seedtalk led by Dr Tom in Newcastle and as soon as I heard him speak I knew he would make a huge impact in the organisation. Working with Dr. Tom on the neuroinclusion strategy and the neurodivergent review of CDDARS was been genuinely transformative. His insight into how CDDARS support both staff and the people who use the service was not only thoughtful but deeply impactful. The training he developed and delivered to the whole team was life-changing (and completed in a series to make sure everyone had the opportunity!)—eye-opening in the best way—and left us all feeling far more confident and equipped to support neurodivergence both individually and across the organisation. I genuinely hope our paths cross again to continue this work. Tom was an absolute pleasure to work with: always polite, quick to respond, reasonable, and incredibly motivating. His ability to communicate really quite complex and difficult to comprehend ideas with clarity and compassion makes him a brilliant public speaker, and I have no doubt he’ll continue to be a strong and respected voice in the neurodevelopmental space. We’re lucky to have had him involved!
