What does neurodiversity even mean?

Keynotes

“I have been to several presentations in the past related to Neurodiversity and Therapy. They seldom seem to move beyond definitions and basic accessibility adjustments, which has been frustrating.

I really liked your starting point of the importance of inclusivity vs affirmative.I appreciated the volume of content that was focused on the impact of living as a neurodivergent person in this world and the different ways that this can directly show up in the content and focus of counselling.

It felt so much richer and more therapeutically relevant.”

Work with Health & Social Care

Workshops and training sessions:

1-8 hours and multi-day. Audience size- 5-50. In person or virtual.

These sessions enable staff to feel confident in their understanding of neurodivergence, working with neurodivergent clients and colleagues, and feeling confident in their use of language and clinical interventions. Tom challenges some of the myths and misunderstandings of neurodiversity within health and social care contexts, by developing a framework of neurodivergent ‘contextual strengths’ which posit neurodivergent traits not simply as superpowers or disorders, but within a nuanced middle ground.
